Latar Belakang: Akne merupakan suatu penyakit yang banyak ditemukan di masyarakat dan sering mengakibatkan kerusakan sekunder yang pada akhirnya dapat membentuk jaringan parut yang disebut skar akne. Skar akne merupakan masalah yang sangat sulit untuk ditanggulangi oleh dokter dan penderita sebab skar dapat bersifat permanen. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui hubungan riwayat perlakuan fisik dan keterlambatan pengobatan akne dengan terjadinya skar akne pada mahasiswa. Metode: Penelitian observasi menggunakan desain Cross sectional dengan Uji chi square untuk menganalisis hubungan riwayat perlakuan fisik dan keterlambatan pengobatan akne dengan terjadinya skar akne pada mahasiswa. Sampel penelitian ini adalah Mahasiswa/i semester 6 Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Swadaya Gunung Jati Cirebon. Hasil: Analisis hubungan didapatkan bahwa p value sebesar (p > 0,05) yaitu 0,636 menyatakan arah pengaruh variabel bebas terhadap variabel terikat adalah negatif. Kesimpulan: Tidak terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara riwayat perlakuan fisik dan keterlambatan pengobatan akne dengan terjadinya skar akne pada mahasiswa.

Background: Acne is a disease that is often found in the community and often results in secondary damage that can eventually form scar tissue called acne scars. Acne scars are a very difficult problem for doctors and sufferers to treat because they can be permanent. Objective: To determine the relationship between the history of physical treatment and the delay in acne treatment with the occurrence of acne scars in college students. Methods: Observational research using cross sectional design with chi square test to analyze the relationship between history of physical treatment and delay in acne treatment with the occurrence of acne scars in students. The sample of this research is 6th semester students of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Swadaya Gunung Jati Cirebon. Results: Analysis of the relationship found that the p value of (p > 0.05) is 0.636 which indicates the direction of the influence of the independent variable on the dependent variable is negative. Conclusion: there is no significant relationship between the history of physical treatment and the delay in acne treatment with the occurrence of acne scars in students.
