Latar Belakang : Berat badan lahir rendah atau yang sering disebut dengan BBLR
adalah bayi dengan berat badan lahir kurang dari 2500 gram atau 2,5 kg. Berat
badan lahir rendah terus berlanjut menjadi masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang
signifikan secara global dan dikaitkan dengan konsekuensi baik jangka pendek
maupun jangka panjang. Berat badan lahir rendah sendiri dapat disebabkan oleh
beberapa faktor, diantaranya yaitu kadar Hemoglobin (HB) dan status gizi ibu
hamil.
Tujuan : Mengetahui hubungan anemia dan indeks masa tubuh pada ibu hamil
dengan kejadian berat badan lahir rendah di Puskesmas Sitopeng Kota Cirebon.
Metode : Penelitian observasional dengan desain Cross Sectional dari data rekam
medis bayi berat lahir rendah pada tahun 2021 di Puskesmas Sitopeng Kota
Cirebon. Analisis statistik dilakukan dengan uji chi -square dengan aplikasi SPSS
versi 21 for windows. Untuk mengetahui hubungan antara anemia dan indeks massa
tubuh pada ibu hamil terhadap kejadian bayi dengan berat badan lahir rendah.
Hasil : Hasil analisis didapatkan p=0,039 (p<0,05) pada anemia pada ibu hamil
terhadap kejadian BBLR. Pada IMT dengan kejadian BBLR didapatkan p=0,026
(p<0,05).
Kesimpulan : Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara anemia dan indeks masa
tubuh pada ibu hamil dengan kejadian berat badan lahir rendah di Puskesmas
Sitopeng Kota Cirebon.

Introduction : Low birth weight is a baby with a birth weight of less than 2500
grams or 2.5 kg. Low birth weight continues to be a significant global public health
problem and is associated with both short- and long-term consequences. Low birth
weight itself can be caused by several factors, including hemoglobin (HB) levels
and the nutritional status of pregnant women.
Objective : This study aims to determine the relationship between anemia and body
mass index in pregnant women with the incidence of low birth weight at the
Sitopeng Public Health Center, Cirebon City.
Method : This study used observational method with a Cross Sectional design from
medical record data of babies with low birth weight in 2021 at the Sitopeng Public
Health Center, Cirebon City. Statistical analysis was performed by chi-square test
with SPSS version 21 for windows application.
Result : The results of the analysis showed p = 0.039 (p <0.05) in anemia in
pregnant women to the incidence of LBW. In BMI with the incidence of LBW, p =
0.026 (p <0.05).
Conclusion : There is a significant relationship between anemia and body mass
index in pregnant women with the incidence of low birth weight at the Sitopeng
Public Health Center, Cirebon City.
