Abstract

This research aims to investigate the influence of social support, work-life balance, and person-job fit on employees' work engagement in the furniture manufacturing industry. Work engagement refers to a positive psychological condition marked by high energy, strong dedication, and deep involvement in job activities, which plays a vital role in improving employee performance and promoting organizational sustainability, especially within the manufacturing sector. The study adopts a quantitative research design utilizing a survey method, with data collected from employees working in furniture manufacturing companies located in West Java, Indonesia. The multiple linear regression technique was used to process the collected data. The findings show that work engagement is positively and significantly impacted by social support, work-life balance, and person-job fit. These findings emphasize that fostering supportive work environments, establishing effective work-life balance policies, and aligning job roles with employees' skills and capabilities are essential approaches to enhance engagement levels. The practical outcomes of this study offer useful guidance for organizational leaders in formulating human resource policies that focus on employee welfare and job suitability. From a theoretical perspective, this study enriches existing knowledge concerning the factors influencing work engagement, particularly within the context of Indonesia’s manufacturing industry.
