Abstract
This study aims to examine influence of the work environment and work-life balance on employee job satisfaction in construction companies. Building on previous research that identifies these two factors as crucial to employee well-being, this study contributes by focusing specifically on the construction sector, where physical conditions and job demands are often more intense. Using a quantitative approach with a census sampling technique, data were collected from 120 employees and analyzed using IBM SPSS version 30. The study tested three hypotheses: the individual and simultaneous influence of work environment and work-life balance on job satisfaction. The results reveal that both variables positively and significantly affect job satisfaction individually and simultaneously, with an adjusted R² of 0.635, indicating that 63.5% of the job satisfaction variance is explained by the two factors. This research adds new insight into the strategic importance of managing work environment and promoting work-life balance to enhance employee satisfaction, particularly in labor-intensive industries. The findings underscore the need for construction companies to invest in a supportive workplace and flexible work arrangements to improve overall employee productivity and morale.
