Latar Belakang: Angka kematian karena penyakit-penyakit akibat hiperkolesterolemia semakin meningkat. Daun Tin (Ficus Carica Linn) merupakan tanaman herbal mengandung beberapa komponen yang dapat menurunkan kadar trigliserida dan kolesterol total.
Tujuan: Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian sari daun tin terhadap kadar trigliserida dan kolesterol total pada mencit yang diberi diet tinggi lemak.
Metode: Desain penelitian ini adalah eksperimental dengan rancangan Pre and Post Test Control Group Design, menggunakan tiga kelompok mencit Mus Muscullus jantan. 18 ekor mencit yang setelah mengalami aklimatisasi 1 minggu, diberi makan diet tinggi lemak selama 2 minggu, kemudin kadar trigliserida dan kolesterol total mencit diperiksa. Mencit dirandomisasi menjadi 3 kelompok yaitu kelompok kontrol, kelompok 1 dosis 600 mg/kgBB dan kelompok 2 dosis 800 mg/kgBB, yang masing-masing terdiri dari 6 ekor mencit. Data yang telah didapat dari hasil pemeriksaan, kemudian diuji statistik dengan uji T (Paired Samples T-test).
Hasil: Dari hasil uji statistik Paired-Samples T Test didapatkan bahwa kedua kelompok kontrol tidak menunjukkan hasil yang signifikan. Sedangkan kelompok P1 (0.025), dan kelompok P2 (0.019) pada kadar kolesterol total menunjukkan hasil signifikan. Pada kelompok yang diperiksa kadar trigliserida terdapat 1 kelompok yang signifikan yaitu kelompok P2 (0,035) dan kelompok P2 (0,276) tidak signifikan.
Kesimpulan: Daun Tin berpengaruh terhadap kadar kolesterol total pada kedua kelompok perlakuan sedangkan pada penurunan trigliserida, hanya menurunkan 1 kelompok perlakuan saja sedangkan kelompok 1nya tidak signifikan menurunkan.

Leaf of tin (Ficus Carica Linn) as plant of herb contains many component which can decrease cholesterol rate and triglycherida rate.
Objective : To the effect of observational its subject to be know leaf extract of tin application influence to cholesterol rate and triglycherida rate for rat's that given by high cholesterol diet.
Method : This research design is observational experimental with design Pre and Post Test Control Group Design, utilizes three male Mus Muscullus groups. Group consisting of 18 member of rat which adapted a week and given by high cholesterol diet for 2 weeks. After that the cholesterol rate and triglycherida rate checked. Then its divided as three groups, that, group of control, group 1 consisting of 600 mg/kgBB and group 2 800 mg/kgBB, each group consisting six rats. Data has obtained from checked result, then tested by statistic by Paired Samples T Test.
Result : From the result of statistical Paired Samples t-Test obtained that the two group of control is not show the significant result. Meanwhile group P1 (0.025), and group P2 (0.019) in total cholesterol rate show the significant result. In the group which checked the triglycherida rate occurred a significant group, that, group P2 (0,035) and not significant group, that, P1 (0,276).
Conclusion: Leaf of tin (Ficus Carica Linn) evident influential to cholesterol rate of two groups of experiment. But in decresing tryglicherida just decrese one group, not in one other group which not significantly decreasing.
