Abstract
This study aims to evaluate the operational and financial feasibility of the Cap Sri Tanjung shrimp cracker business located in Kenanga Village, Sindang District, Indramayu Regency. The research was conducted from May to July 2025 using a quantitative-descriptive approach through a case study method. Primary data were obtained through direct observation of the production process and in-depth interviews with the business owner, while secondary data were collected from financial records, supporting documents, and relevant literature on agribusiness MSMEs.The research methodology focused on two main aspects: (1) Operational Feasibility, analyzed based on indicators such as production capacity, production process, technology/equipment, and product quality observed directly in the field; and (2) Financial Feasibility, analyzed using several financial indicators including Revenue/Cost Ratio (R/C), Benefit/Cost Ratio (B/C), Break-Even Point (BEP), Return on Investment (ROI), and Net Present Value (NPV), based on the business’s income and cost data. The results show that operationally, the business runs smoothly by utilizing local raw materials such as small shrimp (udang rebon) and tapioca flour, and by employing local labor. Financially, the business demonstrates profitable performance. Each production cycle produces approximately 1,100 kg of shrimp crackers with a total operational cost of Rp40,068,625 and generates revenue of Rp48,400,000, resulting in a net profit of Rp8,331,375. The R/C ratio is recorded at 1.21, meaning that every Rp1 of operational cost yields Rp1.21 in revenue. The BEP is achieved at 447 kg or Rp17,832,766, indicating that the business has surpassed its profitability threshold. The ROI reaches 20.8%, indicating efficient use of capital. Furthermore, the long-term financial feasibility analysis using the Net Present Value (NPV) approach, with a 10% discount rate over 2 years, results in a positive value of Rp123,465,124.Based on these indicators, the Cap Sri Tanjung shrimp cracker business is considered feasible both operationally and financially, showing strong potential for sustainable short-term growth and capital recovery.
