Rice is the main food commodity that plays a strategic role in supporting national food security. Indramayu Regency, the largest production center and rice barn in West Java, is supported by the availability of large land and dependence on subsidized fertilizers to increase productivity. However, farmers' use of subsidized fertilizers is often technically and economically inefficient. This study aims to analyze the level of efficiency of the use of subsidized fertilizers in rice farming in Indramayu Regency. Unlike previous studies that only assessed production output, this study simultaneously assessed technical, price, and economic efficiency. The method used is a quantitative approach with the Cobb-Douglas production function, equipped with the measurement of technical efficiency through production elasticity and price and economic efficiency based on the ratio of marginal product value to input price. Primary data were collected from 100 farmers receiving subsidized fertilizers through surveys and structured interviews. The results showed that only urea fertilizer achieved economic efficiency out of the six production inputs. Other inputs, such as land, seeds, NPK fertilizers, pesticides, and labor, are inefficient. These findings provide the basis for a more targeted and efficient subsidized fertilizer distribution policy.
