Abstract
In Indramayu, early marriage remains a major problem due to economic issues, education, local traditions, and pregnancy outside of marriage. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of policies to prevent early marriage in Indramayu. The Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Agency (DP3A), the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA), the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and the Indramayu Religious Court were involved in this study through interviews and analysis of relevant documents. William N Dunn's Policy Evaluation Theory was used in this study. The study shows that the policy has reduced the rate of early marriage, but due to limited budget and manpower, a large area, and strong local socio-cultural influences, its implementation has not been optimal. As a result, the practice of marriage dispensation remains a major problem, and program implementation is not comprehensive.
