Abstract

Analisis uji
Kruskal-Wallis didapatkan nilai p=0,043 menunjukkan adanya perbedaan tingkat

Background: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a disease caused by a
coronavirus of the genus betacoronavirus. Comorbidities in people with COVID19 increase the risk of experiencing organ damage compared to someone who
does not have comorbidities.
Aim: To determine the relationship between comorbid type 2 diabetes mellitus
and hypertension with the severity of COVID-19 patients at Waled Hospital,
Cirebon Regency.
Methods: This study is an observational study with a cross-sectional design.
Sampling was taken from medical records at Waled Hospital, Cirebon Regency.
Data analysis used the Spearman correlation test and the Kruskal-Wallis test.
Results: Analysis of comorbid type 2 diabetes mellitus has a relationship with the
severity of COVID-19 patients with p = 0.022 and correlation coefficient (r) =
0.280. In comorbid hypertension, there is a relationship with the severity of
COVID-19 patients with p-value = 0.042 and r value = 0.244. In comorbid type 2
diabetes mellitus and hypertension, there is a relationship with the severity of
COVID-19 patients with p-value = 0.014 and r value = 0.306. The analysis of the
Kruskal-Wallis test which obtained a p-value = 0.043 showed that there were
differences in the severity of COVID-19 patients with comorbid type 2 diabetes,
COVID-19 patients with comorbid hypertension, and COVID-19 patients with
comorbid type 2 diabetes mellitus and hypertension.
Conclusion: There is a positive correlation and relationship between comorbid
type 2 diabetes mellitus, comorbid type 2 diabetes mellitus, comorbid type 2
diabetes mellitus and hypertension with the severity of COVID-19 patients and
differences in the severity of COVID-19 patients with comorbid type 2 diabetes
mellitus, patients COVID-19 with comorbid hypertension and COVID-19 patients
with comorbid type 2 diabetes mellitus and hypertension.
