Latar Belakang: Kejadian hipertensi di Indonesia tergolong tinggi yang disebabkan oleh tingkat kepatuhan dan motivasi diri minum obat hipertensi. Berdasarkan profil kesehatan Kota Cirebon 2020 hipertensi menempati urutan kedua. Hipertensi dapat meningkatkan morbiditas, mortalitas dan penurunan kualitas hidup.
Tujuan: Mengetahui hubungan tingkat kepatuhan dan motivasi diri minum obat dengan kualitas hidup pada pasien hipertensi di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Kalijaga Permai Kota Cirebon.
Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini dilakukan bulan Juni-September 2022. Menggunakan metode observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan simple random sampling dan didapatkan sebanyak 134 responden. Pengambilan data menggunakan kuesioner MMAS 8, HBP-SCP, dan WHOQOL. Analisis menggunakan univariat dan bivariat dengan uji Spearman Correlation.
Hasil Penelitian: Responden sebagian besar perempuan (88,1%), berusia 55-65 tahun (77,8%), pendidikan SD (44,8%), Ibu rumah tangga (84,3%). Didapatkan hubungan bermakna antara tingat kepatuhan dan motivasi diri minum obat dengan kualitas hidup pada pasien hipertensi dengan nilai p value sama (p=0,000)
Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan bermakna tingkat kepatuhan dan motivasi diri minum obat dengan kualitas pada pasien hipertensi.

Background The incidence of hypertension in Indonesia is high, due to the level of compliance and self-motivation to take hypertension medication. Hypertension ranks second based on the City of Cirebon 2020 health profile. Hypertension can increase morbidity, mortality and decrease quality of life.
Aim Knowing the relationship between the level of adherence and self-motivation to take the medication with the quality of life in hypertension patients in the Kalijaga Permai Health Center, Cirebon City.
Methods This research was conducted from June - September 2022. Using an analytical observational method with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique was simple random sampling and obtained as many as 134 respondents. Data were collected using MMAS 8, HBP-SCP, and WHOQOL questionnaires. Analysis using univariate and bivariate with Spearman Correlation test.
Results Most of the respondents were women (88.1%), aged 55-65 years (77,8%), elementary school (44,8%), and housewives (84,3%). There was a significant relationship between the level of adherence and self-motivation to the ake medication with quality of life in hypertensive patients with the same (p = 0.000).
Conclusion There is a significant relationship between the level of adherence and self-motivation to take the medication with quality in hypertensive patients.
