Abstract
The use of audio-visual media in English language learning has attracted significant interest from educators and second/foreign language teachers. This media includes various material sources, such as films, podcasts, social video media, and other learning materials. Several studies have examined the use of audio-visual media for teaching listening in English language learning. However, research that specifically focuses on learners' perceptions and views regarding the benefits and challenges associated with using audio-visual media for learning English listening is still limited. This qualitative research aims to determine the impact of using audio-visual media on students' listening skills in learning English. This research specifically focuses on understanding the perspective and influence of audio-visual media such as YouTube on EFL students' listening skills. The research participants consisted of three students who met the requirements specified by the author. In this research, the thematic analysis method was used to analyze the data obtained. The findings of this study revealed that the participants believed that audio-visual media had helped improve their listening skills and had a positive impact on English language learning.
