The government of the Republic of Indonesia has program implemented freedom
learning since 2020 through the guidelines published by Nadiem Makarim,
freedom to learn is a policy which aims to encourage students to master various
knowledge that is useful for facing the world of work. The Minister of Education
and Culture explained that the freedom to learn policy was a development of the
Independent Learning concept. The objective of this study is to know how the preservice teachers perceive the MBKM as the new curriculum policy. useful as a
reference for education components, namely teachers, students, and educational
institutions. This research is a qualitative research approach (case study). Data I
collected through document study. Namely the data collected in the form of
words, pictures and numbers, as stated by Bogdan and Taylor (L.J. Moleong,
2011:4) as a procedure that produces descriptive data in the form of written or
spoken words from people and observable behavior. From the results of data
research conducted on students majoring in education and non-education class 3
and 4 universities regarding responses to MBKM. Questionnaire From the results
of the data collected based on the questions asked by the researcher, there were 20
questionnaires in the form of YES (know) NO (don''t know) IN DOUBT
(hesintant) which came from 20 students. the total of all YES answers 63% : 252,
total answers of NO 26% : 104, and total answers IN DOUBT 11% : 44.
Responses Students in tertiary education know about discourse the new MBKM
curriculum policy, but there are still some students who do not know and still
have very little knowledge about MBKM curriculum policies, especially students
who only know a little information, half and less than half of the 20 questionnaire
points distributed by researchers , this happened because of the lack of
dissemination of information about the MBKM curriculum.
