Abstract
Gender inequality remains a prevalent topic of discussion, with numerous behaviors perpetuating the degradation of women through oppressive and demeaning actions, leading to feelings of insecurity among many women. This study aims to explore how the perceived values conveyed in the song "Speechless" contribute to the development of students' character. It employs a qualitative case study research approach, utilizing open-ended questionnaires to allow students to express their opinions. The participants
in this study are 10th-grade Visual Communication Design students at a vocational high school. The research activities revealed that students were attentive listeners,
contributing to the enhancement of character development as depicted in the song "Speechless." Additionally, the study observed that students were capable of analyzing the perceived values embedded in the song "Speechless" concerning character development.
