Abstract
This thesis presents a comprehensive case study on the implementation and
impact of collaborative learning in English classrooms. Collaborative learning is a
student-centered approach that fosters active engagement, communication, and critical
thinking skills through group activities. This study involved 1 students from the English
study program and used qualitative methods, interviews, and student work analysis.
The findings reveal that collaborative learning positively influences language skills,
communication skills, motivation, critical thinking, and teamwork. Through group
discussion. Students actively practice language skills and improve their use of
vocabulary and grammar. Additionally, the collaborative nature of the activities
promotes effective communication, multiple perspectives, and a supportive learning
environment. Collaborative learning also deepens students' understanding of English
literature and fosters critical thinking skills. Overall, this thesis underscores the
importance of collaborative learning in creating enriched English classroom
experiences and empowering students to become active and effective learners. This
study provides valuable insights into the field of education, emphasizing the
importance of incorporating collaborative learning strategies to foster dynamic and
inclusive learning environments.
