Latar belakang: Rokok mengandung bahan kimia beracun yang bersifat karsinogenik sehingga rokok dan lingkungan yang tercemar asap rokok dapat membahayakan kesehatan. Upaya untuk menekan prevalensi merokok berdasarkan kerangka acuan adalah dengan memberikan peringatan kesehatan bergambar, salah satu peringatannya adalah peringatan pada bungkus kemasan rokok. Peringatan kesehatan berbentuk gambar bertujuan sebagai strategi pendidikan kesehatan masyarakat dan memberikan peringatan kepada pengkonsumsi rokok.
Tujuan: Mengetahui hubungan antara persepsi gambar peringatan pada bungkus rokok dengan perilaku merokok pada masyarakat di RW 09 Desa Bojong Cilimus.
Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional analitik terhadap 80 responden, menggunakan metode pendekatan Cross Sectional yang dianalisis menggunakan analisis data univariat dan bivariat.
Hasil: Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan terhadap 80 responden, sebagian besar persepsi responden baik yaitu sebanyak 53 responden (66.25%), sebagian besar perilaku merokok responden tidak baik yaitu sebanyak 74 responden (92,5%), dan tidak terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara persepsi gambar peringatan pada bungkus rokok dengan perilaku merokok.
Kesimpulan: Sebagian besar perokok di RW 09 Desa Bojong Cilimus berjenis kelamin laki-laki yang berjumlah 73 orang (91.3%), sebagian besar merupakan kelompok usia lansia awal yaitu 46 – 55 tahun dengan jumlah 30 responden (37,8%), sebagian besar bekerja sebagai wirausaha berjumlah 56 responden (70%), sebagian besar usia pertama merokok pada kelompok usia remaja akhir yaitu 17 – 25 tahun dengan jumlah 67 responden (83.9%), sebagian besar pendidikan terakhir responden yaitu SMA/sederajat dengan jumlah 43 responden (53.8%), sebagian besar persepsi responden baik sebanyak 53 responden (66.25%), sebagian besar perilaku merokok responden tidak baik yaitu sebanyak 74 responden (92,5%), dan tidak terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara persepsi gambar peringatan pada bungkus rokok dengan perilaku merokok

Background: Cigarette contain toxic chemicals that are carcinogenic so that cigarettes and the environment contaminated with cigarette smoke can endanger health. Efforts to reduce the prevalence of smoking based on the terms of reference are to provide pictorial health warnings, one of which is warnings on cigarette packs. Health warnings in the form of images are intended as a public health education strategy and provide warnings to cigarette consumers.
Aim: Knowing the correlation between the perception of warning images on cigarette pack and smoking behavior on communities in RW 09 Bojong Cilimus Village.
Methods: This study is an analytic observational study of 80 respondents, using a cross sectional approach, which was analyzed using univariate and bivariate data analysis.
Results: Based on the results of research conducted on 80 respondents, most of the respondents’s perceptions was good as many as 53 respondents (66.25%), most of the respondents’s smoking behavior was not good as many as 74 respondents (92.5%), and there was no significant relationship between the perception of warning image on cigarette pack with smoking behavior.
Conclusion: Most of the smokers in RW 09 Bojong Cilimus Village are male as many as 73 people (91.3%), most of them are in the early elderly age group that is 46 – 55 years as many as 30 respondents (37.8%), most of them work as entrepreneurs as many as 56 respondents (70%), most of them smoking for the first time in the late teenage age group that is 17 – 25 years as many as 67 respondents (83.9%), most of respondents’s last education was high school as many as 43 respondents (53.8%), most of the respondents’s perceptions was good as many as 53 respondents (66.25%), most of the respondents’s smoking behavior was not good as many as 74 respondents (92.5%), and there was no significant relationship between the perception of warning image on cigarette pack with smoking behavior.
