Abstract
Information and Communication Technology plays an important role in
improving the learning process of teaching, as well as helping students in
developing their English language skills. The use of information and
communication technology in the world of education, especially learning English,
has become a necessity. Various applications of Information and Communication
Technology are now available for use by teachers and students who use them in
educational aspects. The use of digital technology in education, such as mobile
devices and applications, is now becoming increasingly common at various levels
of education. One of them is google jamboard, which is designed to enhance
student learning experiences and capabilities in the classroom by creating an
effective and interactive learning environment. Google jamboard can make
learning to write English more exciting and creative. Students and teachers can
collaborate actively using features available in learning English writing skills. The
study aims to identify students' perceptions of the use of google jamboard in
learning English writing skills. This study involved seven high school students of
the twelfth grade who were deliberately selected. We use qualitative methods with
case study approaches to deepen student perceptions. To gather data, we used
closed questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. Based on the results of the
preliminary questionnaire and interviews, students expressed positive views about
the use of google jamboard in their writing class. They feel that google jamboard
makes learning more creative and exciting, and also improves their motivation,
collaboration, language development, as well as reducing anxiety while learning.
Overall, Google jamboard is making an important contribution as a learning
platform in English writing classes.
