Abstract

In addition to teaching students, teachers must also guide and educate students
with their various characters. Teachers are also tried to be able to make students
interested in participating in learning. If students are interested, the learning activities
in class will be fun and conducive. As a teacher also plays a role in implementing
various strategies that can build student interest in learning to improve student
learning process. In this study the writer reflect on the experience when carrying out
teaching practices at SMK in Cirebon, and focus on the efforts that have been made
as a teacher so that students are interested in participating in learning. The writer
presents herself as a phenomenon that must be studied. The method used is
descriptive qualitative research. This approach takes the form of study that looks at
societal and human concerns. The researcher summarizes the research findings in
detail in a research report based on the data view report and data analysis collected in
the field. The research design used in this study is a practitioner's reflective inquiry.
Practitioner inquiry is research done based on personal experience. Researchers
reflect or retell their own experiences and then use these experiences as data. The
results of the study showed that after the teaching practicum there were many changes
in the perspective experienced by prospective teachers which turned out to be in
accordance with several theories from similar experts.
