teaching and learning practices in the world of education is increasingly massive in the
industrial era 4.0. In recent years, teachers at all levels of education feel the same
challenges to be able to create creative, effective and efficient learning. This research is to
find out the description of students' perceptions about the use of padlets as an alternative
way of interactive language that can help English learners improve their language
learning achievement and to find out suggestions from students about the use of padlets in
learning English. The author uses a qualitative case study design. Research data was
taken from May to June 2023. This study used five student participants out of 31
participants. This study chose a purposive sampling of students based on several criteria.
Participants in this study already knew or were familiar with using Padlets, at least one of
them had used Padlets in learning English and had participated in learning activities using
Padlets, Kampus Mengajar or PLP2. This study discusses the findings found after the
researchers analyzed the questionnaires and interviews. The results showed that 96.8% of
students were familiar with using padlets. Students' perceptions of the use of padlets in
learning English obtained results including finding padlets as an interactive media
alternative, namely 77.4% who chose to agree with the use of padlets. The statement
padlet is easy to use. 71% agree with Padlet's motivation to complete the task given by
my instructor. 58.1% of students agreed with Padlet's statement that it helps learning to
better understand subjects based on the exercises given. 51.6% of the padlets reduced
their stress when using the padlets as a group activity to interact with other students.
64.5% of students like the use of padlets because they feel more involved in learning.
Then, 87.1% of students agreed to recommend padlets as an alternative interactive media
in class to teachers and friends. After the researcher analyzed the questionnaire and
interview data, it can be concluded that the majority of students gave positive perceptions
about using Padlet as an interactive medium in learning English. Future research may
involve what methods are suitable to explore in more detail about padlets to support
students with poor English Skill in a school environment.
