Abstract

This Thesis examines digital literacy of pre-service teachers using learning apps. It focuses on their readiness to use tech for teaching. Done in Cirebon, it used qualitative methods: surveys, interviews, analysis. Results are explored across digital literacy dimensions: Functional Skills, Collaboration, Communication, Critical Thinking, and more. Communication, collaboration, and creativity are strong points. They use social media, video conferencing, emails adeptly. They're skilled in online projects, video
editing. Communication shines through various platforms. Pre-service teachers are skilled in tools like Microsoft Office, learning systems. They lack in reference management, data analysis, paraphrasing.They want to integrate tech, but struggle due to glitches, infrastructure, and digital culture gaps. Still, they value digital tools for student engagement. In conclusion, the research highlights digital literacy's importance for pre-service teachers, especially in communication, collaboration, and skills. Despite challenges, it emphasizes continuous training and integration into teacher programs, preparing educators for the digital era.
