Abstract

Discussing English learning media, especially educational media, is an
important aspect in English language learning so that it can help and
simplify the teaching and learning process so, in the title of this research
regarding Teacher Perceptions in Using Game Based Learning Methods
at a state vocational school 1 Lemahabang, this research, discusses
teachers' responses to the use of game-based learning methods which
have a positive impact on student interest and motivation. This thesis
investigates how teachers respond to the use of game-based learning
methods in English language learning. This research uses a qualitative
research design with a descriptive approach where the results of this
research depend on the teacher's response in using game based
learning methods in the classroom learning process. To analyze the data,
the research used thematic analysis and to conclude the results of the
analysis using interpretive phenomenological analysis by looking at the
narratives and points of view of the participants or teachers. There were
two participants in this research who conducted interviews with the aim
of finding out teachers' responses to the use of game-based learning
methods, so that through the results of their responses, the researcher
concluded that using game-based learning media or educational media
can provide students with interest and motivation for learning. English.
The findings revealed that. Using game-based media really helps
students in the learning process so that it is proven by increasing interest
and motivation among students. Thus, teachers should use game-based
learning media because they can have a positive effect on learning.
