Abstract

This research analyzes several causes of anxiety in teaching experienced by EFL preservice teachers during teaching practice or in PLP 2 courses. The research design used
in this research is a case study with a phenomenological approach, then the research
method uses a qualitative approach. To select the research sample or research subjects,
the researcher used a purposive sampling method, then to collect the data, the
researcher used two instruments in the form of a close-ended questionnaire and a semistructured interview, then the data that had been collected was analyzed using the
thematic analysis method and interpretative phenomenological analysis. The
participants in this research were three students, of which the three students were
students who had undergone teaching practice in 2022. This research aims to find out
what causes the anxiety experienced by EFL pre-service teachers when did the teaching
practice.
